Wow, what a gre…

Wow, what a great first week at Nick Hopkin Drums. I’m astounded by the level of support I’ve received by the drumming community worldwide. Many thanks to everyone whose tweeted me, followed me, face-booked me, emailed me, mentioned me on websites and blogs or called to offer their support. After a mad few weeks trying to photograph and catalogue all products for the website it’s great to be back amongst the drums.

I’ve moved into new premises next door and now have facilities for you to come and try out any kit or snare drum I have in stock. My stock is constantly changing, so if you don’t see what you like on my site, give Me a call and if it’s not due in I’ll see if I can source it for you. Drop Me a line if you fancy popping in for a coffee and a chat about drums, or flicking through some of my vintage drum books and raiding my spares cupboard!

A Big thank you to my new customers this week and my regulars who’ve known me for some time, and a big shout to all you drummers out gigging this weekend. Give them some stick!

Great start to …

Great start to the shop launch online. Lots of interest in these lovely vintage drums and the orders are coming in. Lots of support from key people in the drum world – many thanks, you all know who you are. Great work from my web guys DickieDwyer.com and Webmarmalade ; the design and functionality of the site has been wowing people, thanks guys.

Tomorrow I’m moving into larger premises and so will have facilities to come and try out kits and snares. I’m also planning to put sound files on my site, so watch this space! If only there were more hours in the day….

Your First Kit

Great article on www.mikedolbear.com today about ‘your first kit’… how many of us sold our first kit many years ago and still pine for it? Thankfully I still own mine, a 60’s Premier 22,14,16 in red sparkle. The bass drum needs some serious attention but I restored the two toms, and I regulaurly use the matching Royal Ace snre drum with whichever kit I play.

So what was yours?Do you still have it?

I have various Premier kits in stock from the 60’s and 70’s, maybe I have your old kit….Image
